No One Has Ever Become Poor By Giving!

Sansthaapak Ka Parichay

Worship Committee

I, Babulal Singh, after completing my BA from Allahabad University in 2004, came to Delhi to study. While staying here, I completed my MA and B.Ed. and started preparing for the competitive examination (Civil Services). In August 2012, I was standing near a garbage bin at Shivaji Stadium (Connaught Place). I saw an old beggar picking up food from the dustbin and eating it. When I saw this scene, my heart was filled with pain. I felt that I should work for the destitute and helpless people like him. After some time I met him at the bus stand and came home. The same scene was coming to my mind again and again. After a lot of thinking, I thought that I have to work even after becoming an IAS, why not work in this way. Then I decided that I have to work for the elderly and beggar children. I started teaching a child in R K Puram. Today she is doing BA from Basilka Delhi University. While doing this work, I used to talk to some friends and seniors. During the discussion, some seniors suggested that to carry out such work for a long time, arrangements would have to be made, which could be done through NGOs. After much deliberation, in October 2014, I registered an NGO called Punujagruti Samiti at the all-India level, which has 9 members. Today, we operate in six states across the country, including Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand. The Ainujagaran Samiti runs 71 centers, including 58 Child Sanskar Centers, five Supplies Training Centers, one Computer Training Center, one Newspaper Envelope Making Center, one Mehndi Training Center, two English Spoken Centers, one Health Center, one Beauty Parlour Training Center, and one Special Project (Women Traders and Beggars), benefiting 6,410 trainee students.
